Maersk, TotalEnergies clash with Danish tax ministry over billion-dollar sum

The Danish Ministry of Taxation holds that Maersk’s oil business and its successor, TotalEnergies, owe one and a half billion dollars for oil operations in Algeria and Qatar, reports newspaper Berlingske.

A dispute on taxes from oil income over an 11-year period has ended up in a high court in Denmark, writes domestic newspaper Berlingske on Friday.
