Media: Statoil about to cut 500 jobs in Norway

Norwegian media report that Statoil plans to cut 350 and perhaps as many as 500 jobs in Norway so as to move the jobs to low-wage countries. However, according to the final announcement from Statoil the move only concerns 209 jobs.

According to Norwegian newspaper Stavanger Aftenblad, Statoil is about to remove 350 jobs from Norway, instead transposing the jobs to low-wage countries, reports Offshore.no.
