Topaz Energy and Marine, based in Dubai and headed by former Maersk executive René Kofod-Olsen, has made a deal with private equity fund Standard Chartered Private Equity (SCPE). The deal will make the fund a shareholder in the company.
SCPE invests USD 75 million in Topaz, and in return the fund secures a 10 percent stake in the carrier.
