Bourbon secured record profit in 2Q

French offshore carrier Bourbon had 26 idled vessels in the first half of the year, but the carrier still delivered a record revenue.

Offshore carrier Bourbon can, in spite of an extremely tough global market for oil and gas carriers, present a record revenue in the carrier's second quarter interim report on Wednesda.

Bourbon's revenue grew almost 13 percent, to a total of EUR 759 million. Except for the strong dollar, the global offshore carrier maintained a robust activity rate in spite of the currently difficult market conditions, where Bourbon in the first six months of the year opted to idle 26 vessels at various times.
