"When Statoil says jump, you jump"

Statoil is using its dominant position in the Norwegian oil sector in a way that is detrimental to society's interests, says industry association Maritimt Forum. The low oil price has forced us to cut costs, says Statoil spokesman.

The criticism of Statoil continues after several stakeholders have accused the oil company of using its dominant position on the Norwegian shelf to put unreasonable pressure on subcontractors.
