Major driller merges with US firm in USD 836 million deal

British driller Ensco, which is one of the world's biggest leasers of drilling vessels and drilling rigs, is now purchasing US competitor Atwood Oceanics in a combined deal worth around USD 863 million (EUR 770 million).
