Hutchison Ports result down in 2nd quarter 2013

Hutchison Ports achieved a profit of USD 54.8 million in the second quarter 2013, down 25.9 percent compared to the same period last year, according to the company's financial report for the second quarter.

Hutchison Whampoa's port business, Hutchison Ports, one of the world's four largest port terminal companies, had a dissapointing second quarter 2013.

The company, which is listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange, achieved a profit of USD 54.8 million, down 25.9 percent compared to the same period last year. The company's revenue went down 2.6 percent, to USD 390.9 million.
