DP World wants more fully automatic terminals

In the 4th quarter this year DP World will open the fully automatic terminal in Maasvlakte 2 in Rotterdam. The company wants to expand the automatization to other ports in Europe.

DP World has great expectations for the new container terminal in Maasvlakte 2, Rotterdam, which the major port operator will open in a joint venture with partners MOL, Hyundai, APL, and CMA CGM in the 4th quarter this year.

The project has been underway since 2007, when the partners started building the terminal, and it is extremely important to be part of this development, says DP World CEO Mohammed Sharaf.
