Container carriers prepare for Hurricane Irma

Hurricane Irma is headed straight for Florida after wreaking havoc throughout the Caribbean this Thursday and Friday. Maersk informs that several ports in the region will be shut down.

Ports and carriers are bracing themselves for devastating Hurricane Irma, which has caused severe destruction in several Caribbean islands over the past few days and is expected to hit US state Florida this weekend.
