Panalpina majority stakeholder rejects DSV bid

The Swiss-based logistics company's largest shareholder does not support the takeover offer from Denmark's DSV, says the company's board of directors in a statement.

Panalpina's majority shareholder Ernst Göhner Foundation does not support the acquisition offer from DSV, says the Swiss logistics company's board of directors in a statement Monday.

Ernst Göhner Foundation owns 46 percent of the total share capital in Panalpina, and according to the statement, the shareholder "supports Panalpina's board of directors in pursuing an independent growth strategy that includes M&A."
