The new DSV will transport three million containers a year

"We will move three million containers a year, and we look forward to that," says DSV CEO Jens Bjørn Andersen in an interview with ShippingWatch, after the company finally managed to take over Panalpina. And size provides opportunities, he adds.

With the acquisition of Swiss-based Panalpina, which became a reality Monday, Denmark's DSV will become the fourth-largest logistics group in the world.

And DSV might move up a few places on the ranking within air and sea. DSV will thus become number four in the world within sea freight, while the company will become number two within air freight, says DSV's chief executive, Jens Bjørn Andersen, in an interview with ShippingWatch.
