Bergen Group still running at a deficit

Norwegian shipyard and supply group Bergen Group increased its revenue in the first quarter this year, but the result came to a deficit on par with last year.

Bergen Group, which recently divested a large portion of its activities to Semco Maritime, had a first quarter with improved revenue. In total, Bergen Group achieved a group level operating revenue of USD 46 million, an increase from the first quarter 2014, where the operating revenue came to USD 20 million.

The result landed at a deficit of USD 781,000, a small improvement compared to the same period in 2014 where the result was a deficit of USD 884,000. Bergen Group's order backlog exiting the first quarter came to USD 37.5 million distributed between orders in the two segments offshore and service.
