
After two years plagued by massive losses at the Maersk Group's logistics unit Damco, the company has now completed the majority of comprehensive corporate restructuring, says Damco CEO Hanne B. Sørensen in an interview with ShippingWatch.
She has overseen a global overhaul of the company since stepping in as CEO on January 1st 2014, spearheading the process aimed at making the company profitable again. The overhaul has radically changed the entire structure of Damco, and the number of operational offices has been cut significantly, from far more than 200 to around 50 today.
