Damco CEO: The corporate overhaul was painful at times

The overhaul at Damco, the Maersk Group's deficit-making logistics unit, has been painful at times, explains CEO Hanne B. Sørensen in an interview with ShippingWatch. The company has, among other changes, reduced its number of operational offices significantly.

After two years plagued by massive losses at the Maersk Group's logistics unit Damco, the company has now completed the majority of comprehensive corporate restructuring, says Damco CEO Hanne B. Sørensen in an interview with ShippingWatch.

She has overseen a global overhaul of the company since stepping in as CEO on January 1st 2014, spearheading the process aimed at making the company profitable again.
