Ships lie still in the Black Sea, and carriers are generally urged to keep their fleets away from the entire region following Russia’s attack on Ukraine. ”This will hit the world economy and thereby the shipping market on the short term,” says Lauritzen Bulkers CEO Niels Josefsen.
Carriers ought to stay out of the Black Sea and the Bosporus Strait, advises British security firm Dryad Global after Russia’s attack on Ukraine early Thursday morning.
