2021 was the most profitable year for the shipping industry since 2008, writes Clarksons. Two segments in particular pull the industry up.

Following a tormented 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, the shipping industry sky-rocketed in 2021, ending with the highest earnings for the entire sector in 13 years, writes analyst firm Clarksons Platou based on its data for the year.
