Discord with US-owner made Nordic Bulk CEO resign

Disagreements that had accumulated over a long period of time with US-based majority stakeholder Phoenix Bulk Carriers led to Christian Bonfils' (photo, right) sudden departure from Nordic Bulk Carriers, he tells ShippingWatch.

It was at once inevitable and sad for Christian Bonfils when he on Monday resigned from the carrier and the employees that have been a big part of his life in recent years.

Inevitable, as he explains to ShippingWatch, because it was the result of long-term disagreements with US-based majority stakeholder Phoenix Bulk Carriers concerning the future strategy for Danish-based Nordic Bulk Carriers. And if these matters cannot be resolved, as a partner and CEO one must ultimately face the consequence and resign from the job.
