Maersk and IBM unveil digital collaboration

Maersk and IBM are now able to present a name and a more precise description of what the two companies' digital collaboration on blockchain technology entails. Besides Maersk Line and Hamburg Süd, one other carrier has signed up.

The Maersk group and IBM are now ready to present the fruits of their digital collaboration, which was announced early this year.

Since January, the two partners have been working behind closed doors to develop a new tool, TradeLens, which uses the much discussed blockchain technology to create more transparency in the supply chain.
