Feederships' rates and prices in steep incline

The dynamic carrier MPC Containers has landed a profit in the first six months of 2018 and is benefiting from the comparatively low segment growth for smaller container ships, shows MPC's H1 interim report. However, prices on both new and used vessels are rising fast.

One of the newest and fastest-moving players in the container shipping industry, Oslo-listed MPC Containers, has exited the first six months of this year with a profit of USD 2.3 million, USD 1.8 of which were brought in during the most recent quarter, shows the the carrier's freshly published first half-yearly interim report.
