Damco maneuver could cost jobs among regional leadership

A total of 18,000 Maersk employees could in some way be affected by the large-scale integration of Damco and Maersk Line. Dual leadership roles in the regional businesses in particular could be impacted, Maersk Line CCO Vincent Clerc tells ShippingWatch.

Some jobs will have to disappear when the final pieces are settled in the integration of Damco and Maersk Line, says Maersk Line CCO Vincent Clerc in an interview with ShippingWatch.

Going forward, logistics company Damco will be placed under the Maersk brand along with Maersk Line's commercial organization to ensure a more streamlined product in which Maersk Line and Damco's offerings will be sold as Maersk Products and Services.
