Ship sales boost Seaspan-owner Atlas in Q2

Atlas Corp, which owns major ship lessor Seaspan, records significant Q2 growth, where a large sale of ships in particular bolstered the bottom line.

Soaring freight rates and huge demand for ships helped Atlas Corp., owner of ship lessor Seaspan, grow in the second quarter, where a series of container ships sold at a big profit also contributed to the positive development.

Atlas Corp., which in addition to Seaspan also owns energy company APR Energy, achieved a revenue of USD 413.3 million in the second quarter of 2022, up from USD 393.9 million in the same period 2021.
