Maersk's prestige project never took off due to skepticism among rivals
Maersk has pulled the plug on Tradelens, which aimed to digitalize the container industry. Maersk retained faith in the project until the end, but other market players did not.

When two of its biggest competitors on the container market, Japanese ONE and German Hapag-Lloyd, joined Maersk’s software venture Tradelens in June last year, Maersk described it as nothing short of a ”milestone.”
