While the container industry is waiting to see what Frencg CMA CGM - the world's 3rd largest container carrier - plans to do on the main trades between Asia and Europe after the carrier failed to form an alliance with Maersk Line and Swiss MSC, the carrier has now launched a new regional collaboration with China Shipping Container Lines (CSCL), Orient Overseas Container Lines (OCL) and Pacific International Lines (PIL), says CMA CGM in a statement.
The collaboration between the four carriers includes one weekly service between Northeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and the venture will be launched from Shanghai in early November.
