Smedegaard: US approval of 2M a formality

Maersk Group CEO Nils Smedegaard Andersen believes that the US authorities' approval of the 2M alliance should be a formality.

Nils Smedegaard Andersen, Maersk Group CEO, sees the US Federal Maritime Commission, FMC's approval of the announced 2M alliance between Maersk Line and Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) as a formality.

"(...) we believe that the approval should be a formality as they (FMC) had already approved P3," Nils Smedegaard Andersen tells news agency Reuters.
