Hapag-Lloyd continues heavy losses

German Hapag-Lloyd continues its heavy losses and the carrier suffered a net deficit of EUR 224 million in the first nine months of the year. 2015 will be another challenging year, says CEO Rolf Habben Jansen in a statement.

Hapag-Lloyd suffered a net deficit of EUR 224 million in the first nine months of the year, a significant decline compared to the same period last year, where the carrier lost EUR 56.1 million. The carrier achieved an operating profit of EUR 33.1 million in the 3rd quarter.
