Container rates hit by new severe decline

Rates on Asia-North Europe took a dive this week of 14.4 percent to an all-time low of USD 399 per teu. This is the eleventh consecutive week with rate declines on Asia-North Europe, which in this period has fallen by a total of 65 percent.

The prices for container freight on the world seas experienced a severe decline this week and freight rates hereby reached a new all-time low. Especially the important services for Maersk Line between Asia and North Europe are pulling rates down.
