Hapag-Lloyd maintains profit in first half of 2015

German container carrier Hapag-Lloyd managed to maintain its profit from earlier this year with a positive result of EUR 157.2 million in the first half of the year "We are well on track to achieve clearly positive full year operating results in 2015," comments CEO.

The merger with CSAV was the right decision for Hapag-Lloyd, says the carrier's management as it on Wednesday presents a positive result for the first half of 2015.

"After a solid start into 2015, we are satisfied with our results in the first half of 2015. We are well on track to achieve clearly positive full year operating results in 2015. The market environment remains very challenging, but we are well positioned in the market and remain highly resilient due to Hapag-Lloyd’s well-balanced portfolio of trades and services," says CEO Rolf Habben Jansen in a press release.
