Alphaliner: Maersk Line takes the lead in intense price war
The container carrier is aggressively pursuing market shares from competitors and has contributed to further pressure on rates in the first months of 2016. Maersk Line, according to Alphaliner, has also deployed additional capacity in the already toxic container market.

In the first months of the year Maersk Line has conquered market shares at a rate that far surpasses the efforts of its competitors in a container market where total freight volumes have noted extremely modest growth.
