Smedegaard poised for huge severance package from Maersk

The dethroned CEO of Maersk Group will not need to worry about his financial future despite his recent dismissal. At a minimum, he will receive one year's salary, though likely closer to two.

The dismissed CEO of Maersk Group, Nils Smedegaard Andersen, will likely not suffer financially following his departure from the conglomerate. The board's decision to remove him from the driver's seat at Maersk Group comes with a huge severance package which will probably make it easier to accept the unexpected news.
