Søren Skou kicks off with aggressive Maersk Line strategy

With the group split announced on Thursday, Maersk Line will launch a significantly more aggressive strategy on the world seas. "We will take conquer market shares every year," says Group CEO Søren Skou. Clarksons Platou points to massive gains following the split.

Maersk Line will be the key company for the Maersk Group, and with the new strategy, which will focus on the two units Transport & Logistics and Energy, the world's biggest container carrier will no longer be aiming to merely defend its market share.
