Torm forms joint venture to manufacture scrubbers

Product tanker company Torm has established a joint venture with a manufacturer and a Chinese shipyard to manufacture scrubbers. Torm will own close to 30 percent. "Demand for scrubbers is expected to increase significantly," says Executive Director Jacob Meldgaard.

Torm is now also entering the scrubber market.

The product tanker shipping company forms a joint venture with scrubber manufacturer ME Production and China's Guangzhou Shipyard International, informs the company in a press release Friday.
