Ardmore CEO: Coronavirus is impacting tanker rates

Last week, the coronavirus outbreak started affecting product tanker rates, says Ardmore Shipping's CEO, Anthony Gurnee. He does, however, believe that rates will stabilize again. Tuesday, the shipping company published profitable financial report.

Ardmore Shipping's chief executive says the coronavirus has now started affecting rates for petroleum products.

In a financial results statement Tuesday, CEO Anthony Gurnee says that spot rates declined last week as a result of the virus. This pertains to the Far East in particular, he says.
