D'Amico hit by low product market in 1st half of 2014

Italian d'Amico International Shipping, with a fleet of around 40 product tankers, suffered a deficit of USD 5.5 million in the first half of the year.

Product tanker carrier d'Amico International Shipping (DIS), which owns a series of eco-design vessels, saw its net result dive to just USD 1.4 million in the 2nd quarter, compared to USD 13.9 million in the same period last year. The carrier finished the first half of the year with a combined deficit of USD 5.5 million, compared to a USD 17.7 million profit in the 1st half of 2013.
