
The German Hartmann Group, which is behind companies such as multipurpose carrier BBC Chartering, has made a deal with Luxembourg-based Jaccar Holdings, owner of Evergas and others, to form a new joint venture to operate ethane vessels.
The new company, United Ethane Carriers, or UEC, will be based in Singapore and work to develop the ethane business with a focus on marketing, branding and commercial management of ethane vessels, according to a joint statement issued by Hartmann Group and Jaccar Holdings.
