German KG companies in million-dollar deal with Teekay

Stock-listed Teekay Tankers acquires five Aframax vessels from German KG companies for a total of USD 230 million.

Teekay Tankers, listed on the New York Stock Exchange, has acquired five recently-built Aframax tanker vessels from German KG companies for a total price of USD 230 million. The ships, of which four are coated and can also operate in the product tanker segment, will be delivered in the 1st quarter 2015 and will sail in the Teekay-headed Taurus LR2 Pool and Aframax RSA.
