Stena Bulk to expand its tanker fleet

Stena Bulk CEO Erik Hånell tells Lloyd's List that he would like to see his fleet of Suezmax oil tankers grow from 20 to 30 vessels through partnerships and chartering.

Sweden's Stena Bulk is looking to increase its fleet of crude oil Suezmax tanker vessels, of which the company currently has 20, to a total of around 30, CEO Erik Hånell tells Lloyd's List.

The carrier will achieve this growth through joint venture partnerships, chartering and possibly acquisitions, says the CEO. Stena Bulk operates one of the world's largest tanker fleets, which in addition to Suezmaxes also features mid-size and smaller product tanker vessels.
