Uni-Tankers: Now we have the right scope

After several years of deficits, Uni-Tankers booked its best result ever in 2015/2016. Now the long-term plans are on the table for the first time and a new strategy will be launched this fall, says CEO Torben Andersen to ShippingWatch.

The Danish carrier Uni-Tankers recently presented its best result ever with a profit of USD 12 million and revenue of about USD 250 million in 2015/2016.

An increase of 18 percent compared to the revenue of USD 192 million in the previous fiscal year, which showed red numbers on the bottom line. Red was the characteristic color of the company's past five fiscal years, with the exception of 2013/2014. For this reason, Torben Andersen, CEO of Uni-Tankers, is proud of the result, although he stresses that he is still humble about it.
