One container alliance in particular is under pressure

With only a few ultra-large container vessels expected to achieve the carrier's main contribution to economies of scale on the Asia to Europe routes, one of the three new and dominant alliances in global container appears to be losing ground.

With just 12 container vessels between 18,000 - 22,000 teu, The Alliance, which counts Hapag-Lloyd and several Japanese carriers, is under pressure, reports Alphaliner.
