South Korean shipyards increase scrubber installations on newbuilds

More than 60 percent of newbuilds at South Korean shipyards in the first half of the year included a scrubber order, writes Seatrade Maritime.

There has been a significant increase in the number of newbuilds being ordered with scrubbers installed at South Korean shipyards. More than 60 percent of new ships ordered in the first half of the year have included a scrubber, according to a presentation from the South Korean Register, according to Seatrade Maritime.
