MOL and Rolls-Royce complete test of system for autonomous ships

Rolls-Royce and MOL have completed a test of a technology for autonomous ships. The test was conducted on a ferry i highly trafficked waters, and the partners have described he technology as a first step toward driverless vessels.

Japan's Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) and UK-based engine giant Rolls-Royce have completed a test of a new system to be used on autonomous ships.
