
Norwegian shipowner Georg Eide has received a unconditional sentence of six months in prison in for having attempted to send ship Tide Carrier to be illegally scrapped in Pakistan, reports E24.
In the district court in Sunnhordland, Norway, George Eide was on Friday convicted of violating the Norwegian constitution in the case concerning dry bulk ship Tide Carrier, which ran aground in Norway in February 2017.
