New central council will ensure shipping influence on EU's CO2 quotas

A group consisting of a broad spectrum of shipping interests and NGOs have been allotted a central role in relation to the EU’s new rules on CO2 quotas which are expected to bring billions of euros.

The shipping industry is now ensured influence in regards to the administration of the EU’s new CO2 quota system for the industry and thus also for the allotment of the billions of euros that the new fee is expected to yield.
