Tsakos and Statoil in giant newbuilding deal

Tsakos Energy Navigation and Statoil has entered a strategic partnership concerning a series of Aframax newbuildings. The deal is worth up to USD one billion.

Greek tanker carrier Tsakos Energy Navigation has entered a strategic partnership with Norwegian Statoil concerning a charter agreement of 5-12 years related to 5-8 Aframax crude oil tankers, to be built at the Korean Daewoo shipyard, says Tsakos in a press release.
