DP World: Alliances hold opportunities

If the P3 alliance is ultimately approved the giant operational collaboration also includes opportunities to increase the efficiency on quays, regional managing director at DP World tells ShippingWatch.

It is still too early to say what a massive alliance as the one between container carriers Maersk Line, CMA CGM, and MSC will mean for the container market as a whole, and in the same light, it is also still too early predict what consequences the P3 alliance will have on land, says Flemming Dalgaard, senior vice president & Managing Director, DP World Europe Regional Office, a position that, in addition to Europe, also covers Russia.
