Boskalis acquires tugboat companies from Louis Dreyfus

Tugboat companies Fairmount Marine and Fairmount Ocean Towage Company have been acquired by salvage giant Boskalis. The purchase will increase Boskalis' market share in offshore and towing.

Ducth salvage and service company Royal Boskalis Westminster has acquired Fairmount Marine and Fairmount Ocean Towage Company from French Louis Dreyfus Armateurs, says Boskalis in a press release.

Fairmount is a leading supplier in long-distance towing and operates five 205 ton bollard pull tug vessels. According to Boskalis, the purchase increases the company's market position in both offshore and salvage.
