DFDS wants to buy Turkish Ro-Ro carrier

DFDS is participating in an ongoing sales process of the Turkish carrier U.N. Ro-Ro. An acquisition will strengthen the Danish carrier´s presence in the eastern Mediterranean Sea.

DFDS is participating in a sales process of the Turkish Ro-Ro company U.N. Ro-Ro, which operates in the eastern Mediterranean Sea, DFDS informs in a stock market release. U.N. Ro-Ro operates 12 so-called roll-on, roll-off vessels for cars and trucks on a number of routes in the Mediterranean Sea departing from a range of ports in Turkey with destinations such as Toulon, France and Trieste, Italy.

The potential acquisition of U.N. Ro-Ro is not the only option DFDS is looking at, however, and the Danish company says it is involved “in a number of other sales processes supporting our strategic goal of consolidation of the industry.”
