The Nicaragua Canal is considering an IPO

A plan for the financing of the 278 kilometer canal through Nicaragua, the new waterway between the Atlantic and the Pacific, has yet to be presented. Now the Chinese company behind the project points to an IPO as one possibility.

When the construction of the Nicaragua Canal - in what was probably more of a symbolic launch gesture - began just before Christmas, there were still numerous unanswered questions surrounding the major project that is worth an estimated USD 50 billion.
