Finnlines delivered its best quarter ever

With a third quarter result of EUR 24.7 million, Finnlines set a new single-quarter record for the company. A slight decline in revenue is attributed to cheap bunker oil, among other factors.

Finland-based RoRO carrier Finnlines delivered a record quarterly result of EUR 24.7 million, corresponding to a 37 percent improvement from EUR 18.1 million in the third quarter last year.

"The January-September result for the reporting period EUR 41.1 million is a very strong achievement taken into account the slowdown of Finnish economy, the Russian sanctions and upgrade dockings on 17 vessels," notes Finnlines president and CEO Emanuele Grimaldi in the carrier's interim report.
