Analysts anticipate new major sale from Maersk

The biggest and most obvious potential sales items at Maersk have already been divested. Now the potential divestments include Damco and Svitzer, according to a reputable analyst agency which predicts that this could happen as early as this year.

The Maersk Group could very well be continuing down the divestment track which the company has been on in recent years. Following the divestments of retailer Dansk Supermarked, Danske Bank and most recently, carrier Esvagt, next on the list of potential sales items in 2016 could be logistics company Damco and the towage and salvage company Svitzer, according to the analyst agency Mergermarkets.
