Dry bulk shipowners have drained yards' newbuild stockpiles

Shipyards have virtually no newbuild resale vessels left from canceled contracts to sell, says Celsius Shipping CEO Jeppe Jensen.

Carriers and other investors' acquisitions of dry bulk newbuilds directly from shipyards – so-called resales, for which the original buyer has been either unable to pay or has had the contract canceled – are over. Shipyards have virtually no unsold dry bulk vessels left, Celsius Shipping CEO Jeppe Jensen tells ShippingWatch.
