Progress in vaccination of seafarers despite Covid-19 lockdowns

Repeated Covid-19 lockdowns continue to make life difficult for ship crews although half of seafarers have been vaccinated, according to the recent Neptune Declaration Crew Change Indicator, which tracks overall progress.

More seafarers are vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus, but their working conditions are improving at a slow pace, according to the November edition of the Neptune Declaration Crew Change Indicator.

New national lockdowns and an increase in travel restrictions and canceled flights are preventing seafarers from completing crew changes in large parts of the world.
